Noida : The 12th International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at RG Residency, Sector 120, Noida, where a large number of residents gathered to participate in a special yoga session organized jointly by the Indian Yoga Institute and the RG Residency Apartment Owners Association (AOA).

The yoga camp witnessed active participation from residents across age groups, with women, senior citizens and youth turning up in significant numbers. The event was held in the society’s central park and was conducted by resident and yoga instructor Harish Chandra Pahwa.

The programme was attended by RG Residency Apartment Owners Association President Ashok Bindlish, former secretary Pradeep Jaiswal and Dinesh Devangan, who graced the occasion as chief guests and encouraged residents to adopt yoga as a part of their daily routine.

Speaking about the initiative, organisers highlighted that regular yoga sessions are conducted in the society every morning from 6:00 am to 7:30 am. The sessions have been running continuously for the past seven years under the guidance of the Indian Yoga Institute, helping residents maintain physical fitness and mental well-being.

During the special International Yoga Day session, participants were guided through a range of yogic practices, including Shirshasana, Sarvangasana, Halasana, Bhujangasana, Anulom Vilom, Pranayama, meditation and other wellness-focused exercises. Yoga trainers also educated residents about the long-term health benefits of regular practice and the role of yoga in leading a disease-free and balanced life.

Residents actively participated in the exercises and appreciated the efforts made by the organisers to promote holistic health within the community. The event also served as an opportunity to strengthen community bonding while spreading awareness about the importance of physical and mental wellness.

Among those present were Puneet Khandelwal, Rajni Agrawal, H.S. Mehra, Anil Yadav, R.K. Jain, Shailendra Somani, Ritesh Agrawal and several other distinguished residents of the society.

The successful celebration reflected the growing awareness and acceptance of yoga as a daily wellness practice, reinforcing the message of healthy living and community participation on International Yoga Day.
