Noida, June 21: International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Children’s Park in Sector 51, Noida, where a free yoga programme was organised by the Indian Yoga Institute in association with the Sector 51 RWA. The event witnessed active participation from a large number of residents who gathered early in the morning to practice yoga and learn about its benefits.

During the programme, representatives of the Indian Yoga Institute, including Hira Singh Bisht, Tarun and Arvind Sharma, guided participants through various yoga asanas and breathing exercises. They also highlighted the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life to maintain physical fitness, mental well-being and overall health.

The programme’s chief guest, DD RWA Federation President N.P. Singh, joined residents in performing yoga and addressed the gathering. Emphasising the significance of yoga, he said, “Everyone should practice yoga regularly. Yoga is not merely an exercise but a science that connects the body, mind and soul. It promotes a healthy body, a peaceful mind and a balanced lifestyle. On this Yoga Day, let us all resolve to make yoga a part of our daily routine.”

The event was organised under the leadership of the Sector 51 RWA. Addressing the residents, RWA General Secretary Sanjeev Kumar encouraged everyone to continue practicing yoga beyond Yoga Day celebrations. He announced that regular yoga classes would now be conducted at Children’s Park by the Indian Yoga Institute.

According to the organisers, the initiative aims to promote a healthier lifestyle among residents and provide a convenient platform for people of all age groups to engage in regular physical activity. Special emphasis has been placed on encouraging senior citizens to participate, as regular yoga can help improve flexibility, mobility and overall well-being.

Residents appreciated the initiative and expressed their willingness to join the upcoming yoga sessions. The event concluded with a collective message encouraging people to embrace yoga as a way of life and work towards building a healthier and happier community.

The celebration reflected the growing awareness about the importance of yoga and its role in creating a physically fit, mentally strong and socially connected society.
