Greater Noida West: Serious allegations of large-scale electricity theft and illegal monetary recovery have emerged from SaviourGreenarch after an inspection conducted by the NPCL vigilance team on May 27, 2026, reportedly uncovered multiple unauthorized electricity connections and illegal sub-meter installations inside the society premises.
According to residents, the NPCL vigilance team reached the society around 12 noon and carried out a detailed inspection across several areas of the residential complex. During the operation, officials allegedly found five illegal sub-meters installed in the basement area, which were reportedly being used for unauthorized electricity distribution.
Massive allegations of electricity theft and illegal recovery have surfaced at Greenarch Society, Greater Noida West after an NPCL vigilance inspection reportedly found illegal sub-meters, unauthorized EV charging points and commercial power misuse inside the premises.
The inspection team also reportedly discovered two unauthorised EV charging stations operating within the premises. Residents claimed that nearly five vehicles were being charged simultaneously through these illegal setups at the time of inspection. In another major finding, an alleged illegal sub-meter connection supplying electricity to a commercial Mother Dairy outlet operating inside the society was also identified.
Residents further alleged that attempts were made by the Greenarch AOA to obstruct or interfere with the vigilance inspection, creating hurdles during the investigation process.
According to several residents, complaints regarding suspected electricity theft and unauthorised recoveries had been raised multiple times with the AOA in the past. However, they alleged that no concrete action was taken and no satisfactory explanation was ever provided to residents.
Residents raise serious concerns over transparency and accountability
Resident Sidharth Kumar said the issue was not limited to electricity theft alone, but reflected a larger governance failure within the society administration.
“Residents had repeatedly flagged concerns regarding unauthorized electricity usage and illegal recoveries, but every complaint was ignored. The findings of the vigilance inspection have now validated what many residents were suspecting for a long time. Transparency and accountability are completely missing and residents feel betrayed.”
Sidharth Kumar, Resident
Another resident, Vipin Chouhan, alleged that residents were forced to approach the electricity department only after all internal complaint mechanisms failed.
“People kept requesting the AOA to investigate these irregularities, but no effective action was taken. When residents realized their concerns were being continuously neglected, they had no option left except approaching NPCL directly. The inspection findings are extremely serious and deserve a fair and independent investigation.”
Vipin Chauhan, Resident
Pramod Shrivastava, another resident of the society, demanded strict legal action against all those found responsible in the matter.
This is not a minor violation. Illegal electricity distribution and unauthorized recovery directly impact honest residents who regularly pay their bills and maintenance charges. If such activities are allowed to continue unchecked, it sets a dangerous precedent. Authorities must ensure strict legal action and complete transparency in the investigation.”
