Noida: Gautam Buddh Nagar Police conducted a security inspection of a Durga Puja pandal under the jurisdiction of Sector 20 police station in Noida to review safety arrangements and crowd management during the ongoing religious celebrations.
The inspection was carried out by ACP-1 Noida Praveen Kumar Singh, accompanied by police personnel, under the direction of Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh and the supervision of DCP Noida Saad Mian Khan and ADCP Noida Abhay Kumar Mishra.
During the visit, the police team inspected the pandal and its surrounding areas, assessing arrangements for the movement of devotees and crowd management at the venue.
Police review arrangements for devotees
The officers also interacted with people present at the venue to understand their concerns, gather suggestions and assess any issues related to the arrangements.
Police personnel were instructed to remain alert throughout the event and ensure the safety of devotees visiting the pandal. They were also directed to maintain close surveillance for any suspicious activity and exercise heightened vigilance in crowded areas.
Instructions issued for emergency response
The police team emphasised the need to maintain smooth movement of people and prevent congestion around the pandal. Personnel were directed to ensure that any emergency situation was addressed promptly and effectively.
The inspection forms part of the police department’s security measures aimed at maintaining law and order and ensuring the safe conduct of religious gatherings during Durga Puja.
The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police reiterated the importance of vigilance, effective crowd management and prompt response to ensure the safety of devotees attending the celebrations.
