Arihant Arden resident alleges misuse of family mobile numbers and residential address, unauthorised Amazon Pay deduction and repeated delivery-related harassment; seeks detailed investigation by Bisrakh police

Greater Noida West: A resident of Arihant Arden in Greater Noida West has approached the police alleging repeated incidents of cyber identity fraud involving the alleged misuse of her family’s mobile numbers and residential address to place unauthorised online orders across multiple platforms. The complainant, Pooja Sinha, submitted a written application to the Station House Officer of Bisrakh police station on October 9, 2026, seeking an investigation into the alleged incidents and action against those responsible.

In her complaint, Sinha alleges that unidentified individuals have been placing online orders and attempting payment transactions without her family’s knowledge or consent. She claims the incidents have continued for approximately two months, resulting in repeated calls, delivery notifications and visits by delivery agents to her residence.

The complaint names several e-commerce, food delivery, mobility and other service platforms. Sinha has requested that the police obtain booking histories, payment records, delivery details and technical information to establish how the alleged orders were placed and identify the people responsible.

Amazon Pay balance allegedly used for unauthorised order

One of the specific incidents highlighted in the complaint concerns an Amazon order that Sinha alleges was placed without her knowledge and paid for using her Amazon Pay balance.

According to her application, she did not place the order or authorise the payment. After learning about the alleged transaction, she contacted Amazon Customer Care and reported the matter, claiming that her Amazon account or Amazon Pay balance had been used without her permission.

She has requested that the police obtain the order ID, booking date and time, amount deducted from her Amazon Pay balance, delivery address and available account, device and login records. She has also sought an examination of her communications with Amazon Customer Care to establish the details of the complaint she previously raised. The application asks investigators to determine who placed the order, which account or device was used and how the payment was processed.

Failed UPI payment attempt through Savaari App

The complainant has also flagged an alleged attempt by an unidentified person to make a UPI payment through the Savaari app. According to her application, the payment attempt was unsuccessful and no completed transaction resulted from that incident.

My family’s mobile numbers and other personal informations may be being misused to access online services and initiate financial transactions.

Pooja Sinha, Victim

She has requested that the relevant transaction logs and available payment records be examined to determine how the attempt was initiated and whether it can be linked to the other alleged incidents.

Multiple platforms named in complaint

The written application lists several platforms from which Sinha alleges unauthorised orders or booking-related activities originated. These include Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Ozi, Myntra, Little Joy, FirstCry, Meesho, Nykaa, Zomato, Barbeque Nation, Zoomcar, Uber, Ola, Rapido and Savaari.

Sinha claims that calls, SMS messages and delivery notifications relating to orders she and her family members did not place have repeatedly arrived at their residence.

She has asked the police to obtain the relevant order and booking histories from the concerned companies, including order IDs, dates and times, delivery addresses, account details, device and login information and available call or contact records.

The complaint also seeks verification of cash-on-delivery orders and associated records, along with details that may help investigators establish whether the bookings were made using her family’s mobile numbers, online accounts or other personal information.

Alleged orders during family’s Noida-to-Patna trip

A specific period highlighted in the application is August 8 to August 17, 2026, when Sinha says she travelled from Noida to Patna with her family.

According to the complaint, order and delivery notifications from different online platforms began arriving at her Patna residence during the trip, even though her family had not placed the orders.   She further alleges that two additional family mobile numbers used in Patna were associated with order or delivery-related notifications during the same period.

Sinha has requested that investigators obtain and compare booking records from both Noida and Patna for these dates. She has also asked the police to establish which mobile numbers, devices, accounts or other means were used to place the bookings. The application identifies the two additional mobile numbers allegedly used in connection with the Patna incidents. The complainant has requested that the corresponding records be examined alongside the bookings linked to her other family numbers.

Delivery agents’ visits allegedly causing distress

The complaint also describes repeated visits by delivery agents to Sinha’s residence. She alleges that agents have arrived at her flat with orders she says were not placed by her or her family.

According to her application, some delivery agents allegedly argued with her family when they were informed that the orders had not been placed by them.

These encounters, along with repeated calls and delivery notifications, have disrupted our family’s daily routine. I informed my residential society’s security team about the incidents. I have requested that CCTV footage and visitor-entry records be examined, wherever available, to verify the delivery visits and establish the circumstances surrounding them.

She has also sought scrutiny of the relevant delivery records maintained by the companies concerned.

Family’s mental well-being affected

In her application, Sinha says the recurring incidents have caused considerable mental stress and distress to her family. She has specifically raised concerns about her husband’s health, stating that he is undergoing dialysis and that repeated calls, delivery-related disputes and unexpected visits have added to the family’s difficulties.

The complainant has urged the authorities to treat the matter seriously, identify those responsible and take appropriate legal action in accordance with the law.

She has also expressed concern that the alleged misuse could extend beyond mobile numbers to personal information, online accounts and residential addresses.

Evidence and technical records sought by complainant

To support the investigation, Sinha has stated that she can provide order screenshots, order IDs, Amazon Pay transaction and payment details, records of complaints made to Amazon Customer Care, SMS and WhatsApp messages, call logs, delivery notifications, screenshots of the attempted UPI payment through Savaari and other relevant material.

Her application requests a detailed examination of the following:

  • Booking and order histories across the platforms named in the complaint.
  • Mobile numbers associated with the alleged unauthorised bookings and the identities of the people using them.
  • Order IDs, booking dates and times, delivery addresses and cash-on-delivery records.
  • Available account, device, login and technical information.
  • Amazon Pay deduction records and the unsuccessful UPI payment attempt through Savaari.
  • Previous customer-care complaints and related communications.
  • Delivery-agent visits, society CCTV footage and visitor-entry records, wherever available.
  • Possible misuse of the family’s mobile numbers, online accounts and personal information.
Delivery agents allegedly gather at doorstep as unauthorised orders continue for two-and-a-half months

Pooja Sinha alleges that nearly 20 delivery agents have sometimes gathered outside her apartment door, bringing orders she claims were never placed by her or her family. According to her, the incidents have continued for around two-and-a-half months, with orders reportedly linked to platforms such as Myntra, Blinkit, Ozi, Meesho, Nykaa and other online services. She claims that when the family refuses to accept the deliveries or declines to share the OTP required to complete them, some delivery agents argue with them, leading to repeated confrontations at their doorstep.

Sinha says she has also approached her residential society’s security in-charge and requested that delivery personnel not be allowed entry in connection with orders that have not been verified. However, she alleges that delivery visits have continued. She claims that some orders involve amounts of ₹10,000 to ₹20,000, adding to her concern about the scale of the alleged misuse.

The problem, she alleges, extends beyond e-commerce deliveries. Sinha says she has received repeated calls concerning bookings through Zoomcar and Savaari, with callers asking about travel plans and journeys from Noida to destinations such as Yamunotri and Badrinath. She claims these bookings were not made by her family and that callers have sometimes appeared to be seeking confirmation of rides that were already arranged.

According to Sinha, the alleged misuse involves different combinations of mobile numbers. She claims her number is being used for login or booking-related purposes, while her husband’s number or another family number is entered for delivery. In some instances, she alleges, the delivery number belongs to her mother-in-law, who passed away six years ago. The family says it often becomes aware of such activity only after an order has been dispatched.

Sinha further alleges that some orders are marked as delivered on Amazon despite the family not receiving the items. She has also raised concerns about deductions from her Amazon Pay balance and an alleged attempt to use Google Pay for a transaction without her authorisation. She says that goods have sometimes arrived unexpectedly, while other items have allegedly gone missing, leaving the family struggling to establish what was ordered, delivered or paid for.

In an attempt to stop the calls, Sinha says she was advised to change her SIM card and use a new mobile number. However, she alleges that the calls resumed even after the new number was activated. She also changed her handset and began using a new phone, but claims that the calls and booking-related disturbances continued despite these measures.

The family says it has raised the matter on the national cybercrime reporting portal and approached multiple authorities and service providers, including Amazon’s senior-level representatives, seeking intervention. Sinha alleges that despite these efforts, the transactions and booking-related activity have continued. She has sought intervention from Bisrakh police to investigate the alleged misuse of mobile numbers, online accounts and payment methods and to prevent further unauthorised activity.

Sinha has stated that she is willing to cooperate with the investigation and provide the available supporting evidence.

Seeks action from Bisrakh Police

In her written application dated October 9, 2026, Sinha requested the Bisrakh police to conduct a detailed investigation, identify the individuals responsible for the alleged unauthorised bookings and payment attempts and take appropriate legal action.

In a separate video appeal, she also sought intervention from Uttar Pradesh Police, Noida Police, Cyber Dost and the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s Office.

For the last 2 months, I have been facing continuous incidents of cyber identity fraud, with online activities and orders being carried out using my family mobile number without my knowledge or consent. Despite submitting a written application to the local police station, I am still seeking appropriate action and support for a thorough investigation.

Pooja Sinha, Victim

She appealed to the concerned authorities to investigate the matter, identify those responsible and help prevent further incidents.

The allegations are based on the complainant’s written application and statement. Independent verification of the alleged transactions, the status of any police investigation and the responses of the platforms named in the complaint were not available at the time of writing.
