Noida: A massive fire that broke out at the Spark Minda manufacturing facility in Sector 59 on Saturday, May 30, 2026, evening triggered a large-scale emergency response, with more than 25 fire tenders deployed to control the blaze. Thick black smoke rising from the factory was visible from several kilometres away, causing panic among employees and residents in nearby areas.
According to fire department officials, the fire was reported between 4:15 and 4:30 pm. The facility, a ground-plus-one industrial unit, reportedly housed chemical storage and highly combustible materials, making firefighting operations challenging. Dense smoke and intense flames quickly engulfed parts of the building, forcing emergency teams to intensify containment efforts.
The factory’s fire alarm system was activated soon after the incident and approximately 600 employees were evacuated from the premises. Officials stated that all workers, including senior management personnel, were accounted for and no one was trapped inside the building.
Firefighting teams initially had difficulty accessing certain sections of the facility due to the blaze’s intensity and the presence of stored chemicals. Ambulances were also stationed at the site as a precautionary measure.
