Two Months of Cyber Harassment: Arihant Arden Family Seeks Answers

Greater Noida West: Nearly a month after Pooja Sinha, a resident of Arihant Arden in Greater Noida West, approached Bisrakh police with a complaint alleging cyber identity fraud and unauthorised online orders using her family’s mobile numbers, the Cyber Cell says it is pursuing a technical trail to identify those responsible. In an update to Apartment Times, Ashish Singh of the Bisrakh Cyber Cell said emails had been sent to major e-commerce platforms and responses had been received from a few companies, including Amazon. The police have now asked the platforms to trace and share the IP addresses from which the disputed orders were placed.

Singh said the Cyber Cell is in touch with Amazon and is awaiting the required details. Once received, the IP information will be decoded and analysed to help trace the source of the activity. He expressed confidence that the person responsible would be identified, irrespective of their location. However, the identity of the person behind the alleged activity has not yet been established.

A complaint that has left a family anxious

Pooja filed a written complaint at Bisrakh police station on October 9, 2026. Apartment Times first reported the matter on October 15, followed by a subsequent report on the Cyber Cell’s response. Pooja alleges that for around two to two-and-a-half months, her family has been receiving repeated notifications, calls and delivery attempts linked to online orders and bookings they did not make.

She has named several platforms and services, including Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Myntra, FirstCry, Meesho, Nykaa, Zomato, Uber, Ola, Rapido, Zoomcar and Savaari. According to her, orders have appeared under different family mobile numbers, sometimes with delivery details that the family says it did not provide. She has also alleged that some orders were marked as delivered despite the family not receiving the items and that money was deducted from her Amazon Pay balance in connection with an order she says she did not authorise. She further claimed that delivery agents sometimes gathered outside her home and that refusing to accept certain orders led to arguments. Some of the orders, she said, were worth thousands of rupees.

SIM and handset changes failed to bring relief

Pooja said the family changed its SIM card and handset in an attempt to stop the incidents, but the alleged activity continued. She also claimed that similar notifications and order-related activity appeared at an address in Patna while the family was travelling there between August 8 and 17.

Mobile numbers belonging to people we visited during the trip also began receiving suspicious activity. Someone may have access to personal information about the family, including our contact details and movements. The situation has caused considerable anxiety at home.

Puja Sinha, Victim

Pooja is a mother of two children, aged five and 13, while her elderly father-in-law is a dialysis patient who often travels alone for treatment. She said the family is worried about its safety and wants to know who is behind the incidents.

I need justice. I do not think anyone deserves to go through incidents like these.

Police awaiting technical details from platforms

The latest statement from the Cyber Cell marks a further step in the investigation, with police now seeking IP address information from the companies whose platforms were allegedly used. Such information may help investigators identify the internet connection from which orders were placed, although further technical examination and corroboration may be required to establish who was actually responsible.

The Cyber Cell has not yet announced that an accused person has been identified or that the investigation has reached a conclusion. For Pooja, the immediate concern remains the same: an end to the repeated incidents and clarity about how her family’s personal and mobile details are allegedly being misused. She is seeking effective action and a thorough investigation so that her family can feel safe again.
