Noida: Amid the onset of fog, the administration issued an advisory, providing this important advice

NOIDA: Winter has knocked on the door. In the past few days, a light layer of fog has also started settling in. Considering the fog during winter, the district administration has issued a major advisory regarding road safety. Strict instructions have been given to exercise caution while driving in winter. This is to prevent road accidents caused by fog or mist.

District disaster expert Omkar Chaturvedi has shared important information related to driving safety during winter and fog. The winter season has begun and light fog has also started. In such a scenario, it is important to follow road safety measures. Giving safety tips to vehicle drivers, he said to ensure that the car’s fog lamps are functioning properly. If your car’s fog lamps are not working, get them repaired. If the car doesn’t have fog lamps, they should be installed. During the winter season, fog lamps prove to be very useful when there is mist.

In the winter season, when there is fog or dew falls, wipers help to clean the windshield. Using a defogger in the winter season also proves to be very effective. If the fog is heavy, the defogger installed in the car should be used. Sometimes moisture appears on the rear glass, and in such cases, it can be quickly cleared with the help of a defogger. The defogger generates heat on the glass, which removes the moisture.

The air pressure in the tires should not be high. In winter, maintaining the correct tire pressure becomes very important. Due to increased moisture in the cold, roads do not dry completely. In such cases, if the car speed is high and you need to brake suddenly, there is a risk of the car skidding. In the cold, the rubber in the tires contracts a little. In winter, the use of emergency indicators should be avoided. The problem with this is that the indicator may not be used when turning the car. In such cases, the risk of an accident increases.
