NOIDA: A sharp dispute has arisen over feeding stray dogs in this society in Greater Noida West. After a video of a resident feeding a dog on the tower floor went viral, residents strongly protested against it. Complaints have been lodged with the society’s maintenance team and the Greater Noida Authority. Residents claim that incidents of dog attacks are increasing in parks, parking areas, floors, and open spaces, putting the safety of children, the elderly, and outsiders at risk.

Dispute Arising from Feeding Dogs on the Floor This incident is from the 7th Avenue of Gaud City-1 Society in Greater Noida West. A case was reported where a young man was feeding a stray dog on the floor of a tower. Residents opposed this, leading to an escalation of the dispute. The society’s maintenance team has established clear rules that prohibit feeding dogs or bringing them inside the society in the common areas of the tower. Despite this, the violation of the rules has caused resentment among residents. They have demanded immediate action from the administration and have asked the maintenance team to enforce the rules strictly.

Viral video increased tensionA video of feeding a dog went viral on social media, fueling the controversy further. Residents alleged that some animal lovers are ignoring the society’s rules by feeding dogs in areas like parking lots, parks, and floors. Narendra Kumar, president of the AOA of Palm Olympia Society, stated that despite having designated feeding points for dogs, people are feeding them in unauthorized places, exacerbating the issue.

Dog attacks woman, panic among residentsOn Tuesday morning, a stray dog attacked a woman who was returning from a walk near Shri Radha Krishna Park in Gaud City-1. Resident Yogesh Bhagaur stated that the dog attacked his wife in front of a private hospital, causing deep wounds to her leg and resulting in bleeding. Bystanders heard the woman’s scream and chased the dog away, saving her life. Resident Anita Prajapati mentioned that dog attack incidents have become common during the morning and evening hours, creating an atmosphere of fear in the society.

Negligence despite the Supreme Court’s orderRecently, the Supreme Court issued guidelines regarding the issue of stray dogs, but despite this, such incidents are not stopping in Gaud City. Residents say that the Greater Noida Authority and society management need to take stricter measures. They have demanded that adherence to designated feeding spots for dogs be strictly enforced and effective steps be taken to control the population of stray dogs.
