Greater Noida: Action was to be taken by the authority to remove encroachment in the society of Greater Noida West. The project department arrived with its team to take action but the planning department stopped the demolition process at the last moment.
Many residents of Galaxy North Avenue 2, Gaur City 2, Greno West, have done illegal construction in their ground floor houses. Society AOA complained about this to the Greater Noida Authority. On the complaint of AOA, the Planning Department of Greater Noida Authority had informed the allottees several times through letters regarding the removal of unauthorized construction.
December 29th 2023 was written in notice for enchrochment removal
The Planning Department had also sent a Section 10 notice in March 2023 for not removing the unauthorized construction by the allottees. In the last notice sent to the allottees, December 29 was declared as the date for the removal of encroachment.
‘We kept waiting for the team to come and take action’
Praveen Kumar, AOA President, Galaxy North Avenue says, “The team of the project department of the authority had come since morning and was waiting for the officials of the planning department to remove the encroachment.
‘Demolition process is postponed’
We contacted Sudhir Kumar, Senior Manager of the Planning Department, he says, “We got information that the allottees had filed a case in the court, hence the demolition process had been postponed.”
‘But there is no stay order from the court….’
Praveen Kumar says, “We are also aware of the case being filed by the allottees but the court has not yet given any stay order in this matter. In such a situation, when there is no stay order to stop the proceedings, then how can the officials of the planning department of the authority stop the proceedings on their own will?”
