Noida: There is good and relief news for 1000 families of Supertech. Supertech has given Diwali gifts to the people. At the same time, new rates of maintenance charges have been implemented in November. Its direct benefit will be given to 1000 families living in the society.
Residents of Supertech Cape Town Society located in Sector-74 of Noida will save ten lakh rupees every month as maintenance fees. After the handover, the Apartment Owner Association of the society reduced the maintenance fee by 17 paise. 5500 families live in the city’s largest society Supertech Cape Town. Here the builder was charging a maintenance fee of 60 lakh square feet at the rate of Rs 2.83 per square foot.
On the other hand, people have been continuously alleging that the facilities in society are not better even after the high maintenance charges. On the order of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), the AOA took over the society on 18 October.
After the handover, the AOA reduced the maintenance charges by 17 paise and implemented the new rates at the rate of Rs 2.66 per square foot from November 1. This has reduced the additional expenses of every flat owner by Rs 200 to 400 and the society by Rs 10 lakh per month.
Welcome charge reduced by AOA
While shifting a flat in the society, the builder used to charge Rs 23600 as a welcome charge from any person. This charge has been reduced to Rs 5100 by the AOA.
Claim made for IFMS of Rs 70 crore
AOA President Arun Sharma said that the residents of Cape Town Society have taken Rs 70 crore from the builder as an Interest-Free Maintenance Security (IFMS) charge. AOA has claimed in NCLAT to get IFMS from the builder. At the same time, in a society of 5500 families, water connection has been taken for only 550 people.
