Noida: Residents of Lotus Zing Society in Sector 168 are facing a severe water crisis, with more than 1,200 families struggling to meet their daily needs as the shortage enters its third consecutive day. According to residents, the water supply in the society has become so limited that each flat is receiving only about one bucket of water, making it extremely difficult for families to manage drinking, cooking, clearing and other essential household activities.
Many residents claim they have been forced to arrange private water tankers to cope with the situation. They say the available water is insufficient to sustain a family throughout the day, and the crisis has continued to worsen over the past three days.
The issue has sparked widespread frustration among residents, with heated discussions taking place across society WhatsApp groups and within the residential complex. Residents allege that repeated attempts to contact concerned officials and management representatives have yielded little response, with calls reportedly going unanswered and no permanent solution being offered.
Society management has reportedly attributed the crisis to inadequate water supply from the Noida Authority. However, residents argue that the shortage has persisted for several days and has now reached a critical stage.
The impact is being felt most by working professionals, who are facing difficulties from the start of their day. Families say children, senior citizens and women are among the worst affected. The shortage has also disrupted sanitation, hygiene and other routine domestic activities.
Residents have urged the administration and the Noida Authority to intervene immediately and restore normal water supply. Some have warned that if the issue remains unresolved, they may be compelled to stage a protest.
The ongoing crisis in Lotus Zing Society has also raised questions about water supply management and the responsiveness of authorities. For now, residents continue to depend on water tankers while awaiting a lasting solution.
