Greater Noida Authority steps up sanitation drive. Senior officials conduct field inspections and two contractors face a ₹3 lakh penalty for negligence, reinforcing accountability in maintaining citywide cleanliness.
Greater Noida: In a bid to strengthen the city’s sanitation system, senior officials of the Greater Noida Authority have intensified on-ground monitoring to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained across various sectors. Top officials, including the Additional Chief Executive Officer (ACEO), Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Principal General Manager, General Manager and Senior Manager-level officers, carried out continuous field inspections on Monday.
Greater Noida Authority has intensified its sanitation drive with senior officials conducting on-ground inspections across the city. Strict action has begun, with two contractors fined ₹3 lakh for negligence in cleanliness work.
The inspections were conducted to assess the quality of sanitation work being carried out by contractors and to identify areas requiring immediate attention. Officials reviewed cleanliness on roads, public spaces and other key locations while directing sanitation teams to maintain high standards.
During the inspection, the authority found instances of negligence in sanitation work. Taking strict action, the Greater Noida Authority imposed a penalty of ₹3 lakh on two contractors for failing to meet the prescribed cleanliness standards. The move reflects the authority’s zero-tolerance approach towards lapses in sanitation services.
Officials said regular field inspections by senior officers will continue to ensure contractors remain accountable and residents receive better civic services. The authority has also directed sanitation agencies to promptly address deficiencies and maintain cleanliness across the city, particularly during the monsoon season when waste accumulation and waterlogging can become major concerns.
The Greater Noida Authority has reiterated that maintaining a clean city remains a priority and warned that strict action, including financial penalties, will continue against agencies found compromising on sanitation work.
