Greater Noida: Following heavy rainfall on Tuesday, officials from the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) Electrical Department carried out an inspection of several lanes in Beta 1 after residents reported malfunctioning street lights. According to the Residents Welfare Association (RWA), complaints were received from multiple parts of the sector where street lights had either stopped functioning or developed faults after the rain.

Inspection conducted after residents’ complaints

Electrical Department Manager Vipin Rai and Assistant Manager Arjun Singh visited various locations in Beta 1 to assess the condition of the street lighting infrastructure. The inspection was carried out after the RWA took up the issue with GNIDA officials. The authority officials reviewed the affected areas and identified locations where maintenance and repair work is required.

Immediate repairs initiated

The RWA stated that after it raised the issue with the Electrical Department, repair work on some faulty street lights was initiated immediately. Officials also acknowledged that several street lights across Beta 1 require maintenance and assured that the remaining repair work would be taken up at the earliest.

Authorities assure timely maintenance
