The situation is such that lakhs of litres of clean groundwater is being wasted every day. Clean water is being thrown in the drain. The process of wasting water has been going on for a long time. If this situation of arbitrariness of the builder continues, then the level of groundwater in the district will reach abysmally low levels.

Building being constructed in Sector 153
A building is being constructed in Noida Sector 153 by Ace Group. Before constructing the building, groundwater is being extracted and being thrown into the drain. Machines have been installed to extract water. According to an estimate, lakhs of litres of water is being thrown in the drain every day. The builder has also installed some pipes under the ground by stealth. Water is also being drained through the pipes. The process of throwing water into the drain has been going on for many months. Due to the extraction of water, the groundwater level is continuously falling.
He has also acted arbitrarily in the past
The builder has constructed buildings at many places in the district. Wherever a building is constructed, water is extracted from there by installing a machine before that so that no problem is faced in the construction. The groundwater department takes action by issuing notices and imposing light fines. After a meeting a few days ago, the DM directed strict action against those wasting groundwater, the DM’s orders are also not being followed by the officials.
