Greater Noida West: Damaged and elevated drain chambers on the service lane connecting Bisrakh to Supertech Ecovillage 1 in Sector 1, Greater Noida West, have raised serious safety concerns among residents. The hazardous condition along the road poses a potential accident risk for commuters, particularly two-wheeler riders, who could lose control while navigating the uneven and damaged stretch. Residents fear that the negligence could result in a serious accident if the problem is not addressed immediately.
The issue was highlighted on social media by Sameer Bhardwaj, resident of Supertech Ecovillage 1, who questioned whether the concerned authorities were aware of the dangerous condition of the road. The resident pointed out that the elevated and damaged drain chambers were clearly visible and that vehicles were passing through the hazardous stretch. Expressing concern over commuter safety, the resident urged the authorities to intervene on priority and ensure an immediate and permanent solution before an unfortunate incident occurs.
Responding to the complaint, Prabhat Shankar, Greater Noida Authority assured residents that the matter has been escalated to the sewer department for necessary action. While the escalation has raised hopes of an official intervention, residents are awaiting concrete action and repairs on the ground. They have urged the concerned department to inspect the location and fix the damaged drain chambers without delay. The question remains whether the authorities will act before a potential hazard turns into a major accident.
