Residents of Sector Beta-1, Greater Noida, raise concerns during the RWA's Sunday public hearing over allegedly illegal PGs, guest houses and complaints of student nuisance, demanding action from the authorities and police.

Greater Noida: The issue of allegedly illegal paying guest (PG) accommodations and guest houses, along with complaints about the behaviour of some students staying there, came up during the weekly public hearing organised by the RWA of Sector Beta-1 on Sunday. Residents raised concerns over disturbances in the neighbourhood, alleged misconduct and incidents of people reportedly roaming around under the influence of alcohol at night. They said such activities were affecting the peaceful environment of the sector and creating concerns about public safety.

RWA seeks inspection and action against unauthorised PGs

During the public hearing, RWA president Sangeeta Sharma and general secretary Harendra Bhati called upon the Greater Noida Authority and police administration to look into the complaints and take appropriate action. The RWA has demanded an inspection of PG accommodations operating in the sector and strict action against establishments found violating applicable rules. Residents also urged the administration to address complaints related to public nuisance and ensure a safe and peaceful neighbourhood.

Residents seek better security and neighbourhood management

RWA treasurer and advocate Vipin Bhati said the association remains committed to improving security, cleanliness and civic facilities in the sector. He added that the Sunday public hearing provides residents with an opportunity to raise their concerns, which are subsequently taken up with the concerned departments. The RWA has urged the authorities to act on the complaints in a timely manner and ensure that residents can live in a safe and peaceful environment.
