Noida : In a proactive step toward strengthening emergency preparedness, the Resident Welfare Association (RWA) of Sector 51, Noida, organised a fire safety training session for security personnel on March 23, 2026. The training was conducted under the guidance of the Sector 51 RWA Managing Committee to equip guards with practical knowledge on handling fire emergencies effectively.
During the session, security staff were trained on the proper use of fire extinguishers and the immediate response required during fire-related incidents. The training emphasised the importance of staying calm and acting quickly in emergency situations to minimise damage and ensure residents’ safety.

Officials explained the widely accepted PASS rule for operating fire extinguishers in case of small fires:
Pull – Pull the safety pin
Aim – Aim at the base of the fire
Squeeze – Squeeze the handle or lever
Sweep – Sweep the nozzle from side to side
The RWA also advised that if a fire grows beyond control, immediate information should be given to the fire department. Additionally, all gates and internal lanes of the sector should be kept clear and open to ensure smooth entry of fire tenders and emergency response vehicles.
The initiative was appreciated as an important awareness and preparedness drive aimed at improving safety standards within residential sectors.
