A car caught fire near the boundary wall of Ajnara Homes in Greater Noida West, triggering concerns over fire safety arrangements and emergency preparedness in the area. The incident has once again brought attention to the importance of having functional firefighting equipment and an effective emergency response mechanism in residential societies.

The incident has raised questions about the availability and readiness of fire safety equipment within the society. Residents have expressed concern that if adequate firefighting equipment and trained personnel had been readily available, the fire could potentially have been brought under control at an early stage. The absence of visible preparedness during such emergencies can increase the risk of the fire spreading and causing further damage.

The incident highlights the need for residential societies to regularly inspect fire safety equipment, ensure that firefighting systems remain operational and conduct emergency response drills. Residents expect the society management to review its fire safety preparedness and ensure that essential equipment is accessible whenever an emergency occurs. A fire incident involving a vehicle should serve as a reminder that emergency readiness cannot be limited to paperwork and must translate into immediate action on the ground.

According to the Chief Fire Officer (CFO), on November 5, 2026, information about the fire was received from the Bisrakh police station area. Following the alert, two fire service vehicles were dispatched to the spot and the fire was successfully brought under control. No casualties were reported in the incident.
