Greater Noida West : Tensions escalated at Amrapali Golf Homes (Kingswood) in Greater Noida West after residents levelled serious allegations against the Ad-Hoc Apartment Owners Association (AAOA) during a General Body Meeting (GBM). The meeting was marked by high drama, with AAOA members reportedly leaving midway amid mounting protests and questions from residents.
Residents raise concerns over financial irregularities
During the meeting, residents collectively flagged multiple issues, including alleged financial mismanagement, a lack of transparency, administrative lapses, and serious security concerns. A key point of contention was the diesel billing, which was reportedly shown at an unusually high rate of ₹194.6 per litre. Residents questioned the procurement process and raised suspicions of financial mismanagement.
Further allegations included an additional 8% commission being charged on purchases despite procurement being made at MRP, which residents termed irregular and non-transparent.
Residents also objected to major financial decisions being taken without approval from the general body, calling it a violation of governance norms. The proposed increase in maintenance charges was strongly opposed and rejected by the majority present.
Disruptions and Police intervention during meeting
The situation turned tense when, according to residents, microphones were switched off and those raising financial concerns were prevented from speaking. Allegations of misbehaviour further aggravated the situation, forcing police intervention to restore order.
Security issues flagged before authorities
Residents highlighted serious lapses in the society’s security framework before local police authorities. The matter was raised with Gaur City-2 chauki in-charge Manoj Kumar, who assured that necessary steps would be taken to strengthen security and ensure stricter monitoring.
Authorities also directed that shops operating within or around the society premises will not remain open beyond 11:00 pm.

Demand to dissolve AAOA and hold fresh elections
In a significant development, residents collectively voted in favour of removing the current AAOA and demanded immediate fresh elections to ensure fair and accountable representation.
Residents also expressed strong dissatisfaction over alleged inaction by authorities. Multiple complaints have reportedly been filed with the Court Receiver’s office, but no concrete resolution has emerged so far. Despite protests and repeated follow-ups, residents claim that both NBCC and Court Receiver representatives have failed to address the issues effectively.

- Full transparency in tenders, contracts and procurement
- Immediate rollback of the proposed maintenance fee hike
- Dissolution of current AAOA and conduct of fair elections
- Implementation of a robust and accountable security system
