The curriculum module will be prepared in two parts. This special module being prepared by NCERT will be divided into two parts. The first module will be for students from class 3 to 8, and the second will be for class 9 to 12. According to sources, this module will include 8 to 10 pages of content based on the Pehalgam attack, highlighting India’s strategic response.
NCERT books are mandatory in CBSE schools
At the initiative of the Ministry of Education, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed all schools to implement only NCERT books for classes 1 to 8. Previously, this rule was only mandatory for classes 9 to 12. This step will bring uniformity to the curriculum under the new education policy and provide students with quality education. Officials say that many schools unnecessarily impose books from private publishers, which will be prevented by the new directives.
Order for audit of safety in schools
The Union Ministry of Education has instructed all states and Union Territories to take immediate steps to ensure the safety and welfare of students in schools. Schools have been asked to conduct a thorough evaluation of fire safety, emergency exits, electrical wiring, and structural integrity. In addition, instructions have been given to strengthen cooperation with fire services, police, and medical agencies and to conduct regular training sessions and mock drills.
Special Attention to Mental Health
The ministry has emphasized prioritizing the psychological well-being of students in schools. For this, it has been urged to promote counseling services, peer support systems, and community engagement initiatives. This step has been taken to ensure the mental health and emotional well-being of students.
