Noida: Villagers from Rohillapur and nearby rural areas honoured Noida MLA Pankaj Singh by presenting him with a traditional turban and expressed their gratitude for his intervention in issues concerning farmers and rural residents.
The villagers said that the MLA has regularly listened to their concerns and raised issues related to farmers and rural communities before the concerned authorities.
According to NOVRA, Pankaj Singh took note of the matter and directed the concerned officials to examine the issue and work towards a fair resolution. Following this, the Noida Authority constituted a joint committee comprising three departments to examine the relevant records, agreements and documents related to abadi regularisation under the 5(1)(A) committee.
The committee has been tasked with reviewing the available records and examining the cases related to the 5% plots. The villagers are hopeful that the investigation will lead to appropriate action and resolution of their concerns.
Focus on Leaseback for Eligible Farmers
The MLA has also spoken about efforts to speed up the leaseback process in Noida for cases where reports under the 5(1)(A) committee have already been completed, the villagers said.
They said that the MLA has discussed the matter with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and is expected to continue pursuing the issue with the Noida Authority.
Residents believe that faster action on such cases could help farmers and rural residents receive benefits linked to their land and pending leaseback matters.
The villagers said the latest initiative has raised hopes not only for the resolution of the Rohillapur case but also for other issues affecting farmers and rural communities in Noida.
NOVRA Patron Ajit Singh Tomar ‘Bajrangi’, President Dr Ranjan Tomar, invited member Amit Tyagi, along with Ravinder, Praveen, Gaurav Tomar, Swarn Singh and a large number of farmers and residents from Rohillapur and nearby villages were present on the occasion.
The villagers expressed confidence that the MLA’s intervention and a fair examination by the joint committee would help bring clarity and a just resolution to the issue concerning the 5% plots.
