
Noida : During a public dialogue programme held at Sector 27 Club, Noida MLA Pankaj Singh and senior officials of the Noida Authority were apprised of several pressing issues faced by residents of Sector 51. The concerns were submitted both in written and verbal form by the RWA of Sector 51, with a demand for prompt resolution. During the interaction, RWA General Secretary Sanjeev Kumar highlighted a wide range of civic, infrastructure and safety-related concerns affecting residents.
Focus on traffic management and road safety
Residents raised concerns over frequent accidents and traffic congestion, urging authorities to improve road engineering and streamline U-turns. They also suggested consulting the RWAs of neighbouring sectors for better planning.
Noise pollution and infrastructure demands
The issue of noise pollution caused by Noida Metro Rail Corporation near D and E blocks was highlighted, with a request to install sound barriers. Additionally, residents demanded that large drains across Noida be covered and developed into vending zones.
Barat ghar upgrades and sewer issues
The RWA requested renovation of the allotted C-7 Barat Ghar into a modern facility similar to a club or banquet hall, along with proper fire safety systems and grease traps. Immediate action was also sought to address persistent sewer overflow problems in the sector.
Disaster preparedness and civic services
Residents called for enhanced disaster management measures, including emergency arrangements such as helicopter support during flooding, fire or other crises. Effective implementation of Citizen Charter services was also demanded.
Action against illegal activities and protection of green areas
The RWA urged strict action against commercial activities in residential areas, including the cancellation of lease deeds as per rules. Concerns were also raised over the alleged sale of green belt land to builders, with a demand to halt such practices.
Park protection and encroachment concerns
Residents demanded construction of a boundary wall and installation of concertina fencing around the remaining portion of the D Block park, locally known as ‘Hitler Park’, to prevent encroachment.

Officials present at the programme acknowledged the concerns and assured residents that appropriate action would be taken.
