Noida: In preparation for the upcoming Kanwar Yatra, the Noida Police organised a peace committee meeting at Phase-3 Police Station to review security measures and ensure seamless arrangements for the annual pilgrimage.

The meeting was conducted under the directions of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh and under the supervision of the DCP and ADCP of Central Noida. ACP-1 Central Noida Diksha Singh chaired the meeting, which was attended by residents and other prominent members of the community.

Appeal for Public Cooperation

During the interaction, ACP Diksha Singh urged residents to cooperate with the police in maintaining peace and harmony during the Kanwar Yatra. She appealed to everyone to refrain from any activity that could disturb law and order and encouraged citizens to promptly report any suspicious or disruptive incidents.

She emphasised that public participation is essential for ensuring a safe and peaceful religious event.

DJ Operators Advised to Follow Guidelines

Police officials also held discussions with DJ operators and instructed them to strictly comply with all rules and regulations during the Kanwar Yatra.

They were advised to ensure that sound systems are operated within the prescribed norms and that all necessary permissions and safety guidelines are followed.

Camp Organisers Asked to Set Up at Designated Locations

Camp organisers were instructed to establish Kanwar camps only at designated locations identified by the administration. Officials said this would help prevent traffic congestion and ensure the smooth movement of vehicles and pedestrians throughout the pilgrimage period.

The police also advised organisers to avoid any encroachments that could obstruct roads or public spaces.

Safety Measures Stressed Amid Monsoon Season

Keeping the ongoing monsoon season in mind, officials instructed organisers to take extra precautions while using electrical equipment at Kanwar camps to avoid accidents caused by rain or waterlogging.

They were also directed to keep emergency medical kits readily available at every camp to provide immediate assistance in case of any health-related emergencies.

Traffic Management to Remain a Priority

Police officials directed the concerned departments to ensure effective traffic management throughout the Kanwar Yatra. Necessary arrangements will be made to minimise inconvenience to commuters while facilitating the safe movement of Kanwariyas across the district.

The meeting concluded with a collective appeal for cooperation from residents, organisers and all stakeholders to ensure that the Kanwar Yatra is conducted peacefully, safely and without disruption.
