Greater Noida West: Around 125 residents of the Irish Pearls in Sector-1 staged a peaceful protest on Sunday, May 17, 2026 against alleged arbitrary maintenance charge hikes and poor maintenance services by builder Irish Infra. The residents gathered and raised their concerns strongly outside the builder’s office located in Sector-10.
According to residents, they have been facing several issues in the society for a long time including inadequate maintenance services, shortage of technical staff and poor management of basic facilities.
Despite repeated complaints, the builder management failed to address their concerns effectively while simultaneously increasing maintenance charges.

The residents conducted the protest peacefully and demanded immediate rollback of the revised maintenance charges, along with improvement in the overall upkeep of the society.
Following the protest, builder representative Subodh reached the spot and interacted with the residents. During the discussion, residents detailed multiple issues related to daily maintenance operations, lack of skilled technical manpower and deficiencies in essential services within the society.

After hearing the concerns raised by the residents, the builder management reportedly agreed to withdraw the notice regarding the increased maintenance charges with immediate effect.
The builder later issued a fresh email confirming the rollback of the revised maintenance fee notice.

The builder management also assured residents that skilled and technical staff would soon be recruited to strengthen the maintenance team and improve the quality of services in the society.
Residents described the outcome as a victory of unity and peaceful dialogue.

The incident once again highlighted growing concerns among apartment residents in Greater Noida West over maintenance standards and fee revisions in private housing societies.
