A refreshing act of public service: Earthen pot water booth launched at Pari Chowk amid rising temperatures.
Greater Noida : Amid rising temperatures and scorching summer heat, a thoughtful initiative at Pari Chowk is bringing much-needed relief to thousands of commuters and travelers. The Active Citizens Team has set up a public water booth at the busy roundabout, arranging three earthen pots filled with chilled drinking water for passersby.
Pari Chowk, one of Greater Noida’s busiest and most important junctions, witnesses heavy footfall every day from office-goers, students, transport workers and travellers coming from nearby districts. In such extreme weather conditions, access to clean and cold drinking water becomes an essential public service.
Recognising this need, members of the Active Citizens Team launched the initiative to ensure that no commuter suffers due to dehydration during peak summer hours. Under the arrangement, the earthen pots will be refilled daily using nearly 30 to 35 water bottles of 20 litres each, ensuring a continuous supply of cool drinking water throughout the day.
The team members are also personally monitoring the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility to ensure safe and hygienic drinking water for everyone using the service.
