Greater Noida West: A college boy had to pay a heavy price for befriending on the Grinder dating app. The student has alleged that he had a conversation with a young man on the app. He had called the victim to meet him. There the accused beat up the student and also transferred one lakh rupees from his account to another account. On the victim’s complaint, Knowledge Park Kotwali Police has registered a case against four people. However, the police have not been successful in arresting anyone yet.
The B.Tech student studying at a private university informed us- On December 7, he started talking to a young man on the Grider dating app. That man called him to meet at gate number three of the college. From there both of them boarded a car and went to the LG roundabout. The youth has alleged that during this time his three friends who were already present there sat in the car. All four of them took the student towards the forest through the bridge. First, they beat him up in a deserted area. Also, they transferred about one lakh rupees from his phone to several accounts. The accused also threatened to kill him if he complained to the police.

The victim student said that he is very scared after this incident. The accused had threatened to kill him. Due to this, he did not inform anyone about the incident for 15 days and remained silent. After this, when fellow students asked him why he was sad, he told the whole incident.
Such an incident has happened before too
Two months back, the same incident took place with a resident of Pancheel Greens society in Greater Noida West. Some people kidnapped a young man by befriending him on the Grinder app. The accused took him to the forest. There they beat him up and transferred Rs 68 thousand to their account. Gold chains and ring were also looted. Police registered a case and arrested the accused.
