The budget of this department was in crores even at that time and there was competition among contractors to get its contract. In this greed, a big contractor in Delhi sent his son to Babasaheb’s son Yashwant Rao and offered to make him his partner and give him a commission of 25 per cent to 50 per cent if he gets the contract through Babasaheb. Yashwant Rao fell into his trap and went to give this message to his father. As soon as Babasaheb heard this, he became furious.
