Greater Noida: Commuters are facing difficulties due to the deteriorating condition of a road in Knowledge Park-3, Greater Noida. The road, reportedly constructed around one year and three months ago, has developed damage at several places. Waterlogging in potholes and scattered debris and stones have further increased the risk of accidents.
Knowledge Park-3 is an important educational hub with several colleges, universities and schools. The poor condition of the road, along with inadequate cleanliness and drainage arrangements, has raised concerns about civic infrastructure in the area.

Road quality questioned after just 15 months
The road has reportedly developed cracks and broken patches within approximately 15 months of construction. Water accumulated in potholes is causing inconvenience to commuters, while scattered construction debris and stones pose potential hazards to motorists and pedestrians.
The condition of the road has raised questions about the quality of construction work and the durability of the infrastructure. Residents and commuters need a safe and properly maintained road, particularly in an area that witnesses regular movement of students and other visitors.

Complaints reportedly made to Greater Noida Authority
Harendra Bhati, a member of the Active Citizen Team, said the concerned officials of Division 4 of the Greater Noida Authority had been informed about the issue several times. However, he alleged that the problem remained unresolved despite repeated complaints.
Bhati also alleged that Greater Noida Authority senior manager Rajesh Nim had not taken cognisance of the matter.
Active Citizen Team seeks inspection and immediate repairs
The Active Citizen Team has demanded an inspection of the quality of road and drain construction to establish accountability. The team has also called for immediate road repairs, removal of scattered debris, improved cleanliness and proper drainage to prevent waterlogging.
The team has urged the Greater Noida Authority to address the issue without further delay and ensure that the road is restored to a safe and usable condition.
The next step is for the authority to inspect the affected stretch, assess the condition of the road and drainage system and take corrective action. The response of the Greater Noida Authority to the allegations and demands remains awaited.
