Greater Noida West: A video showing a woman allegedly abusing, threatening and assaulting a security guard at a residential society in Greater Noida West has gone viral on social media. The incident reportedly took place at Amrapali Centurian Park Terrace Homes under the Bisrakh police station area.
According to police, the dispute began after a delivery agent was stopped from entering the woman’s flat to deliver a late-night order. What followed was a heated confrontation between the woman and the security guard.
Woman seen arguing with guard
The nearly five-minute video shows the woman engaged in a heated argument with the guard. She is allegedly heard using abusive and derogatory language and threatening him during the confrontation.
At one point, the woman moves towards the guard and is seen allegedly hitting him. She also appears to attempt to kick him. During the argument, the woman is heard asking the guard to stay away from her and mentioning her flat number. She allegedly warns him of consequences if he “messes” with her again. The woman is also heard threatening to approach senior police officials and making remarks about hitting the guard with her footwear.
The video does not clearly establish whether other residents or people present at the spot intervened to stop the confrontation.
Video tagged to Noida Police
The video was subsequently circulated widely on social media, with several people tagging Noida Police and seeking action against the woman. Following the social media posts, police took the woman into preventive detention, officials said. The incident has sparked discussion among residents about the handling of late-night deliveries and the role of security guards in enforcing access restrictions inside high-rise societies.
While residential societies have security protocols governing the entry of delivery personnel, disputes between residents and security staff can escalate when disagreements are not resolved through established channels. Further details regarding the filing of a formal complaint or FIR in the matter were not immediately available.
What happened at the society?
The incident also raises questions about late-night delivery protocols in residential societies. With food and e-commerce deliveries continuing late into the night, many high-rise societies restrict delivery personnel from entering residential towers and require residents to collect orders from designated points.
The incident highlights the need for clear communication among residents, security agencies, and society management so that disagreements over access do not escalate into confrontations.
