Noida: The Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Noida organised a ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm on Friday. Held at the institute’s Sector 62 campus, the event saw students paying tribute to the unsung heroes of India’s freedom struggle through patriotic songs, music, street plays, poetry recitation and speeches.
The programme aimed to connect students with the country’s history and inspire them to understand the values and sacrifices associated with India’s independence movement. Through their performances, students highlighted the courage, struggles and sacrifices of freedom fighters whose contributions may not always find a prominent place in history.
Addressing the students, Chirag Gupta, Vice President of IMS Noida, said that the Tricolour is not merely the identity of the country but also a symbol of the sacrifice, courage and dedication of countless freedom fighters who gave everything for India’s freedom.
He said that programmes such as Har Ghar Tiranga play an important role in connecting young people with the country’s history and developing a sense of responsibility and pride towards the nation. He encouraged students to understand the values of freedom and actively contribute to the country’s progress.
Meetu Chaudhary, Head of the IMS Cultural Club, said that students effectively portrayed the struggles, sacrifices and contributions of the country’s brave heroes through their presentations.
She added that the street play brought lesser-known stories of the freedom movement to life, while patriotic songs and poetry filled the campus with a strong sense of national pride. Chaudhary encouraged students to understand their duties towards the nation and contribute to its development through education, innovation, discipline and social responsibility.
During the programme, students and teachers also expressed their respect for the Tricolour and pledged to uphold the unity, integrity and dignity of the nation. The event helped create awareness about patriotism, national consciousness and the values of the freedom movement while inspiring students to become responsible and socially aware citizens.
