Radio Amity 107.8 FM Hosts Special Discussion on Anaemia Mukt Bharat Campaign

Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh: In an effort to promote public health awareness, Radio Amity 107.8 FM organised a special radio talk on Anaemia (Iron Deficiency Anaemia) under the Anaemia Mukt Bharat (AMB) campaign, which is being implemented with the support of the Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare, Government of Uttar Pradesh.

The programme featured an in-depth discussion between Mr Piyush Vardhan Singh Chandel, Station Head of Radio Amity 107.8 FM, and Dr Madan Mohan Mani Tripathi, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Gautam Buddh Nagar.

During the discussion, Dr Tripathi highlighted the major causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment of anaemia. He explained that anaemia remains a significant public health concern, particularly among adolescent girls, pregnant women, and young children. He emphasised the importance of maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet, taking iron and folic acid supplements as prescribed, undergoing regular health check-ups, and following medical advice to prevent and manage the condition.

Mr Piyush Vardhan Singh Chandel said that Radio Amity 107.8 FM remains committed to spreading health awareness within the community through informative programmes. He urged listeners not to ignore the symptoms of anaemia and encouraged them to undergo timely health screenings, consume iron-rich and nutritious foods, and adopt healthy lifestyle practices to protect themselves and their families from the condition.

The special broadcast was aimed at increasing public awareness about the Anaemia Mukt Bharat (AMB) campaign, highlighting the importance of balanced nutrition and iron-rich diets, and supporting the vision of building a healthier, stronger and anaemia-free society.
