Garbage scattered outside the ESI Hospital gate in Noida Sector 24 raises concerns over sanitation and public health.

Noida : A large pile of garbage lying outside the gate of the ESI Hospital in Noida’s Sector 24 has triggered fresh concerns over sanitation standards in the city. The waste, reportedly strewn along the roadside near the hospital entrance, has raised questions about civic maintenance in an area frequented daily by patients and their attendants.

The issue was highlighted by Active Citizen Team member Harinder Bhati, who questioned the state of cleanliness around a government healthcare facility. He pointed out that if such conditions exist outside a hospital, it raises concerns about sanitation standards across the city.

Patients Forced to Walk Through Unhygienic Surroundings

Residents said hospitals are meant to provide a safe and hygienic environment, yet patients arriving for treatment are being greeted by overflowing garbage and foul surroundings. They argued that such conditions not only create inconvenience but also pose potential health risks, especially for those already suffering from illnesses.

The presence of waste near the hospital entrance also affects the city’s overall image and reflects poorly on civic management, residents said.

Call for Immediate Action by Noida Authority

Harendra Bhati urged Noida Authority officials, particularly the Health Department, to take immediate notice of the situation. He appealed to Health Department officer Indu Prakash and the concerned officials to ensure prompt removal of the garbage and implement regular sanitation measures around the hospital premises.

Residents have demanded that the area be cleaned without delay and that strict monitoring be carried out to prevent similar situations in the future.
