Greater Noida: In a major step towards strengthening and modernising the electricity infrastructure in Dadri Assembly constituency, a new modern power substation has been inaugurated in Gram Shahberi at an estimated cost of Rs 7 crore. The newly established facility is expected to provide improved, uninterrupted and quality power supply to thousands of consumers in the region.

The newly commissioned electricity substation has been equipped with 2×10 MVA capacity transformers, which will help meet the growing electricity demand in the area. The project is expected to directly benefit residents and commercial establishments in Shahberi, Sector-122, Raksha Dila, Orchid, JNC Park and nearby areas.

Residents are expected to receive major relief from long-standing issues such as low voltage, overloading, frequent power cuts and tripping. The substation is also likely to play a crucial role in ensuring an uninterrupted electricity supply during the peak summer season.

Addressing the gathering during the inauguration ceremony, officials stated that strengthening basic infrastructure and ensuring development benefits reach every citizen remains a key priority of the state government and public representatives. Continuous efforts are being made to modernise and enhance the electricity network so that better public services can be provided to residents.

A large number of dignitaries, social workers and public representatives attended the event. Among those present were Lokesh Tyagi, Deepak Yadav, Rati Pal Nagar, Vimal Pandey, Dayaram Sharma, Vipin Gaur, Shailendra Gupta and Rajeev Sharma.

Residents present at the event expressed happiness over the launch of the new substation and said that the project would bring a historic improvement in the region’s electricity infrastructure while also helping meet the needs of the growing population in the future.

According to the MLA office, continuous development works are being carried out across Dadri Assembly constituency to strengthen essential facilities, including roads, electricity, water supply, healthcare and education, with a commitment towards overall regional development.
