Greater Noida West: Residents of Sector-16B, Greater Noida West, have raised serious concerns about worsening traffic congestion at the French Apartment and Shri Radha Skygarden crossing. A formal complaint has been submitted to the Additional Commissioner of Police, Gautam Buddh Nagar Commissionerate, seeking urgent intervention to resolve the issue.
According to residents, the crossing witnesses severe traffic jams every day, especially during evening peak hours. On Wednesday as well, hundreds of vehicles remained stuck for extended periods, causing inconvenience to commuters and residents alike.
Emergency services are also getting affected
In the complaint, residents stated that office-goers, women, children and senior citizens are facing daily hardships due to the traffic situation. They also expressed concern that emergency services such as ambulances and fire brigade vehicles often get trapped in the congestion, posing a serious risk during medical or fire emergencies.
Illegal parking and encroachment blamed for the problem
Residents alleged that uncontrolled illegal parking and roadside encroachment are the primary reasons behind the recurring jams. Vehicles parked on both sides of the road by shopkeepers and commuters significantly reduce the road width and obstruct smooth traffic movement.
They further claimed that the lack of regular traffic monitoring and inadequate deployment of traffic personnel have made the situation worse.
The issue has been raised with concerned authorities multiple times in the past, but no permanent solution has been implemented so far.
