Greater Noida West: The political atmosphere inside Supertech Ecovillage-1 has finally delivered its biggest twist, the election officer appointed for the AOA elections will now be replaced. A decision triggered not by rules or regulations, but by what residents call “the mysterious entry of middlemen and a series of silent meetings.
The famous first meeting: Election Officer silent, ‘Guest Artist’ in command
Residents recall the very first meeting with dramatic clarity. The officially appointed election officer, Ashish Kumar Maurya, arrived with a full entourage, most notably Vishal Srivastava, who conducted the entire meeting as if he were the main character.
Meanwhile, the actual election officer maintained such deep silence that residents joked:
“If there was an award for Best Silent Performance in a Social Drama… he’d win instantly.”
The RTI response later made things clearer: Vishal is not an employee of the Deputy Registrar’s office and is not authorized for any election-related role. In short: he came, he spoke, he dominated, but he wasn’t supposed to be there at all.
Complaints ignored… Until CPGRAMS entered the story
Complainant Rashmi Bondre shared that emails, letters and WhatsApp messages were sent to the Deputy Registrar’s office for weeks. But the response remained the same: silence.
Finally, residents approached the CPGRAMS portal, filing a detailed complaint mentioning the unauthorized individuals in the meeting, the cash-only 100-rupee collection, and the election committee’s flip-flop on contesting elections.
This finally prompted action.
Deputy Registrar’s response: The Election Officer himself wants a replacement
The Deputy Registrar’s letter brought the main twist: the election officer, after receiving the complaints, requested that someone else be appointed in his place.
Residents joked that the 100-rupee controversy and the middleman chaos finally broke his confidence, or perhaps the silent role was simply too demanding.
Either way, the officer is now being replaced.
Residents celebrate: “A clean-up at last”
Residents, including Vijay Chauhan, Chitranjan and G. S. Verma, appreciated the decision, calling it a needed strike against mismanagement. This development comes shortly after the outgoing election officer had already admitted that the additional 100-rupee cash collection was wrong and ordered it stopped.
Still, residents have demanded immediate appointment of a new, transparent election officer and clear answers from the Deputy Registrar on 14 election-related discrepancies.
Current mood in the society: Hopeful but skeptical
Residents are curious about who the new officer will be. The most circulated line in society now is:
“The last officer suffered because of middlemen; let’s see if the next one arrives with the rulebook or a fresh entourage.”
