Greater Noida West: For many residents of Greater Noida West, the dream of owning a home has turned into a daily struggle, with poor facilities, lack of basic amenities, and a constant battle for their rights. In the case of Ajnara Homes, the situation has escalated dangerously, with allegations of armed threats, abuse, and defamation notices against residents who speak out.

Protest against threats and intimidation

On Saturday, hundreds of Ajnara Homes residents marched in protest, joined by members of the Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (NeFOWA) and residents from other societies. The rally began at Gate No. 3 of Ajnara Homes and ended at the Cherry County Police Chowki, where a memorandum was submitted to the police.

Residents allege that the facility head at Ajnara Homes, described as a “habitual offender”, routinely threatens them during meetings, sometimes by openly displaying a pistol. Several complainants say this intimidation is part of a broader pattern of harassment encouraged by the builder.

One such resident, Dinker Pandey, recently received a defamation notice of ₹50 lakh from the builder after he raised concerns publicly. According to the notice, Pandey’s actions “defamed” the builder — an allegation residents say is nothing more than an attempt to silence dissent.

Builder-Sponsored Hooliganism Will Not Be Tolerated’ – Abhishek Kumar

We will not tolerate such builder-sponsored hooliganism in Greater Noida West. The police and administration must take strict action now, otherwise NeFOWA will be forced to launch a large-scale movement.

Social activist Mihir Gupta called for an end to efforts to “shield” such individuals, warning that both Ajnara and other builders with similar practices would face opposition at every level.

Chandan Sinha, AOA President of Ajnara Homes, condemned the “conspiracy to intimidate residents” and vowed to escalate the matter if harassment continues. Deepchand Gupta, Pankaj Rai and Bhartendu Shekhar echoed these concerns, saying such actions damage the image of Greater Noida West and are a direct challenge to law and order.

A Call for Immediate Arrest

The facility head should be arrested immediately. This is not just about Ajnara — tomorrow it could be any other society. The whole city needs to unite against this builder-backed intimidation.”
