Jal Hai To Kal Hai: An extensive discussion on tree plantation and water harvesting by Conrwa

Noida: With the aim of increasing the groundwater level and collecting maximum rainwater during the rainy season and protecting the environment from pollution, the celebration program of restoration of 1031 ponds of the district was jointly organized by CONRWA, Uflex, District Administration, Volunteers 137 and YSS Foundation at Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra Noida.

“Jal Hai To Kal Hai “

The program organized on the theme “Jal Hai To Kal Hai” was formally inaugurated by the officials of the three authorities and the District Magistrate. On this occasion, District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma, Additional Chief Executive Officer, Greater Noida Authority Ashutosh Dwivedi, Additional Chief Executive Officer Yamuna Authority Kapil Singh, Divisional Forest Officer Pramod Kumar Srivastava and Dinesh Jain from Uflex were present.

‘There is a need to organize the entire process of water storage’

On this occasion, PS Jain, Chairman of CONRWA gave a welcome speech and welcomed all the officers present and also urged all of them to work on water harvesting. He says, “There is a need to organize the entire process of water storage, and also talked about license for the extraction of water being extracted through boring.”

‘Inspire other people to join this campaign’

On this occasion, the District Officer says, “We all should contribute to the fullest to increase the groundwater level and to collect rainwater as much as possible during the rainy season and to protect the environment from pollution because it is beneficial for us and it is the human duty of all of us to make special efforts and contribute as much as possible in the “Jal Hai To Kal Hai” campaign and give our important support in making our environment clean as well as inspire other people to join this campaign.”

Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam

He continues, “With the cooperation of the Forest Department and all of you, tree plantation programs will be organized on the banks of the rivers on the theme of Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam so that a maximum number of trees can be planted in the flood areas around the rivers. He told that on the third Sunday of every month, special cleaning campaigns will be run in the rivers and the flood areas around them to clean the rivers and the general public will also be inspired to keep the rivers clean.”

Water conservation is necessary for all of us

On this occasion, Ashutosh Dwivedi, Additional Chief Executive Officer of Greater Noida Authority says, “Water is life and trees are from water, trees give us oxygen. We get life from oxygen, which is why water conservation is necessary for all of us. He also talked about implementing many literary and spiritual phrases as a source of inspiration.”

Program was organized with the joint efforts of all

On this occasion, YEIDA Additional Chief Executive Officer Kapil Singh says, “This wonderful program was organized with the joint efforts of all. We should make it a mass movement through collective efforts to save water. Water conservation will improve the water level which is going down. Under the program, children of Tyagarajan Music School and Usha Kiran presented captivating dances in the cultural program. The children of Volunteer 137 presented plants to all the officials and thanked them for saving their ponds.”
