Students Highlight Social Responsibility And Spirit Of Service Through Voluntary Blood Donation

Noida: IMS Noida in Sector 62 organised a blood donation camp in collaboration with Rotary Noida Blood Bank, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students and members of the institute. Around 111 participants registered for voluntary blood donation during the camp.

The initiative aimed to promote social responsibility, compassion, sensitivity and a spirit of service among students while creating awareness about their responsibilities towards society and the importance of civic values.

The camp was inaugurated by IMS Noida Advisor Professor Dr. J.K. Sharma. Addressing the students, he described blood donation as an important means of serving humanity and appreciated the initiative.

Dr. Sharma said that developing a sense of social concern and responsible citizenship among young people is the need of the hour. He emphasised that active participation in community activities helps students become more sensitive towards societal issues while giving them an opportunity to understand their responsibilities towards society. He added that through initiatives such as blood donation, students can make a direct contribution to helping those in need.

IMS Noida Dean–Students Welfare Dr. Govind Prasad Goyal said that integrating social values with education is essential for the holistic development of students.

He said education should not be limited to achieving academic excellence but should also focus on developing sensitivity, empathy, responsibility and a spirit of service towards society. Such initiatives provide students with an opportunity to understand social responsibility and put these values into practice.

The enthusiastic participation of students in the blood donation camp reflected their sensitivity towards society and their willingness to come forward to help those in need.

Volunteers, coordinators and the team from Rotary Noida Blood Bank played an important role in organising and conducting the camp successfully.
