Noida: The festival of Holi is near and in such a situation it is very important to be cautious of adulterated food items. Keeping this in mind, on the instructions of the District Magistrate, the Food Safety Department conducted an intensive raid campaign in the district.
A team of officers inspected different shops
On 9 March 2025, several teams led by Assistant Commissioner (Food) Sarvesh Mishra and Chief Food Safety Officer Virendra Dwivedi raided different places across the district.
Suspects of spoilage were raised in the sample of khoya taken from Standard Paneer Bhandar in Sabzi Mandi Phase 2 of Noida, due to which 10 kg khoya was destroyed on the spot. Similarly, a sample of paneer was also taken from UP Paneer Bhandar for testing.
Action of Food Safety Officer in Shops of Greater Noida
Khoya taken from Shiv Shakti Kalakand in Girdharpur, Greater Noida was also found to be spoiled, due to which 25 kg khoya was destroyed. At the same time, samples of laddu from Shiv Shakti Sweets and paneer from Brijwasi Dairy were sent for testing.
Similarly, samples of curd from Nikhil Dairy in Itahara and paneer from Avon Dairy were taken, while samples of khoya and kalakand from Bikaner Sweets of Noida Sector 122 were sent for testing.

Samples of a total 10 food items have been sent to the lab for testing. Assistant Commissioner (Food) Mr. Sarvesh Mishra said that this campaign will continue continuously, so that safe and pure food items are available to the people during the festival.
