Noida: The Association of Buyers of Solitairian City on the Yamuna Expressway, Sports City Zone adjacent to F1 Track, held a peaceful protest at the site. The association intimated to the builder 1 week before the meeting on February 09, 2025.
Distressed homebuyers say that our demands are not being met
Even after paying the money, we are not getting our dream home. We have been making rounds of the builder’s office and site for the past six years. Flat buyers of the Solitairian City project located at Jaypee Greens Sports City, Yamuna Expressway gathered at the Solitairian project site to demonstrate their grievances.
Pawan Singh Bhati, President says that the promoter of the project has intentionally delayed in construction and possession of the flat for the last decade.
Solitairian City flat buyers pointed at the promotion board of the Solitairriann City which mentions ‘POSSESSION SOON”. But some of the flat buyers stated that they had booked their flats almost 11 years back.
Pawan Singh Bhati, the President of the association has informed Apartment Times, “For the last many years, builders have been making false promises to deliver possession of flats soon but every year the promise is broken.“
Flat buyers also complained of mistreatment of management as they don’t get the true status of construction, approvals and updates of the project. On the other hand, they are pressurised to make further payments for unfinished flats. Most of the flay buyers have already made full payments but there is no hope of completion of the project. The builder has neither completed the construction of the project nor has been able to obtain necessary approvals from various authorities
for handing over flats to buyers.
Dates and more dates, but no hearing of grievances
According to flat buyers, they have been trying to initiate a dialogue with the higher management for a long time but the builder deliberately avoids meeting with the flat buyers on one pretext or the other. One of the members of the Solitairian Flat Buyers Association mentioned that Management was officially requested to convene a meeting for which intimation was sent via email and WhatsApp messages in December, January and February, but management refused to meet with the flat buyers every time.
Representatives were asked to remain present on the site to address the buyer’s grievances and give updates. But in return, it was stated that no one from Builder or Management was present. After this, it was decided that the next meeting would be on January 25, 2025, which was also refused by the builder. Sameway’s January 26th meeting was cancelled for security reasons. So, frustrated homebuyers united with the association members and protested at the site on February 09, 2025.
