Noida: The Sector 105 Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA) has raised concerns over drinking water quality, ageing power infrastructure and the electricity grievance redressal system in Noida, urging authorities to address what it described as long-standing civic issues.

Concerns Over Water Quality and Power Infrastructure

In a press statement, Divya Krishnatreya, President of the Sector 105 RWA, said that although Noida is among Uttar Pradesh’s highest revenue-generating cities, residents continue to face basic civic problems, including high TDS levels in the water supply and recurring electricity-related issues.

The RWA also said the city’s electrical infrastructure is ageing and needs modernisation to meet the requirements of a growing urban population.

Questions Raised Over Public Services

The association said residents are still facing difficulties in accessing reliable essential services. It added that, in its view, the situation is inconsistent with Noida’s image as a modern and high-tech city.

The press statement also criticised the pace of development and called for greater accountability from elected representatives and the administration in addressing public concerns.

Electricity Consumers Facing Multiple Office Visits

According to the RWA, electricity consumers often have to visit different offices for services such as:

  • Electricity meter replacement
  • Bill correction
  • New electricity connections

The association said this process creates inconvenience for consumers and called for a more streamlined grievance redressal system.

Demand for Administrative Reforms

The RWA has urged the concerned departments to modernise electricity infrastructure, simplify consumer services and improve the quality of drinking water supplied to residents. It also called for stronger public service delivery and faster resolution of civic grievances.

The statements in this report are based on a press release issued by Divya Krishnatreya, President of the Sector 105 RWA, and reflect the association’s views.
