Noida: The water problem in Greater Noida West is becoming increasingly serious. The situation worsened on Sunday when the water crisis deepened in many societies like Supertech Ecovillage 1, Supertech Ecovillage-2, Ajnara Homes etc. In many societies, the water supply was stopped or contaminated water was supplied, causing an outcry.
More than 2 lakh people are affected daily
Residents allege that contaminated water is being supplied in many places. The supply is completely stopped in many societies, due to which people have to depend on the authority’s tankers for drinking and daily tasks. The troubled people have demanded an immediate solution from the authorities.
Forced to buy packaged water
Due to the non-availability of pure water, many people had to buy bottled water from the market. People complained to the water department of the authority but alleged that no immediate action was taken.
Damaged pipelines increased the problem
There has been a shortage of water for the last week. During this time, the drinking water pipeline has also been damaged several times due to the negligence of the authority’s contractors. Despite complaining, no solution has been found so far.
