Noida : A fresh dispute has emerged in Udyog Vihar Sector 82, Noida, after conflicting claims and allegations surfaced following the recent Resident Welfare Association (RWA) elections. A press release issued by the newly elected body has countered what it calls “misleading information” being circulated by the opposing faction.
Election conducted under administrative oversight
According to the statement issued by RWA president Mayank Chauhan, the election was conducted under the directions of the district administration, with supervision from the Deputy Registrar and the presence of around 25 administrative officials. Officials from the DSO office and PAC police were also reportedly deployed to ensure a fair and transparent voting process. The Chauhan panel claimed a clear majority victory in the election.

Allegations by the former President dismissed
The press release further alleges that former RWA president Sushil Sharma raised “baseless allegations” against the election process after his defeat. It states that Sharma filed petitions against the Deputy Registrar and DSO officials, questioning the legitimacy of the polls. However, as per the statement, the court has disposed of all such petitions, thereby affirming the validity and transparency of the election process.
Continued dispute fuels confusion
Despite the court’s decision, the Chauhan-led RWA claims that contradictory statements are still being made by the opposing side. The release accuses the former president of alternately rejecting the election results and questioning the neutrality of officials, which, it says, is creating confusion among residents.
Delay in handover sparks resident concerns
A key point of contention remains the delay in the handover of charge. The new RWA alleges that despite the declaration of results, the transition process has not been completed, affecting administrative functioning within the society. Residents, as per the statement, have expressed dissatisfaction over the ongoing situation.
GBM recommends stricter participation norms
During a recent General Body Meeting (GBM), residents reportedly passed a unanimous resolution suggesting that individuals accused of spreading misinformation or creating disputes should be restricted from participating in future elections.
Appeal to the Media for Verification
The RWA has urged media representatives and the public to verify facts through official sources before publishing or sharing news related to the issue, in order to prevent the spread of misinformation.
This report is based on a press release issued by the Mayank Chauhan-led RWA. The version or response from the opposing party could not be independently verified at the time of publication.
