Residents clean Beta-1 area, Demand action from Authority
Residents believe that without strict enforcement and proactive involvement from the urban department, maintaining cleanliness standards will remain a constant challenge.
Greater Noida: Despite repeated efforts to maintain cleanliness near Gate No. 6 of Sector Beta-1, residents say the lack of support from the Greater Noida Authority’s urban department is becoming increasingly evident. Regular cleaning and maintenance work is being carried out in the area, but officials and staff from the authority are allegedly not paying adequate attention.
Frustrated by the ongoing neglect, members of the RWA Beta-1 have taken matters into their own hands. Office bearers were recently seen cleaning direction boards themselves, highlighting both their commitment and the administrative gap.
Residents in Greater Noida’s Beta-1 take charge of cleanliness near Gate No. 6 as alleged inaction by the authority continues. RWA demands strict fines on those littering.
RWA General Secretary Harendra Bhati stated that while residents are doing their part, the authority must step up and extend full cooperation. He emphasised that maintaining a clean city is a shared responsibility and cannot be sustained without institutional support.
He further demanded strict action against those responsible for littering.
People who dirty Greater Noida should face heavy penalties. I call authorities for the imposition of hefty fines to deter such behavior.
