Greater Noida West : The anger of residents in Greater Noida West’s high-rise societies is boiling over once again. Despite paying thousands every month in maintenance fees, residents say they’re being deprived of even basic amenities. The residents of Radicon Vedantam Society staged a massive protest outside the maintenance office, alleging corruption and negligence under the guise of maintenance.
“No Water, No Lift, What Are We Paying For?”
Residents claimed that several towers have had non-functional lifts for weeks, forcing elderly people and children to climb multiple floors every day.
We are paying thousands every month for maintenance, but the facilities are zero. The lifts don’t work, the water supply is irregular, and management doesn’t even respond.
Priyanka Chauhan, Resident
Women and senior citizens are among the worst affected. The society often faces day-long water outages, leaving families struggling to manage even basic needs.
Parks full of garbage, No sign of cleaners
The condition of the parks and green belts is equally appalling. Overgrown grass, broken jogging tracks, and scattered waste have made the premises unhygienic.
The sanitation staff shows up once in a while, and mosquito breeding has become a major problem,. Children’s play areas are full of broken swings and filth.

Locked maintenance office, No accountability
Residents also alleges that they had lodged multiple complaints, but no action was taken.
When we went to demand answers, the maintenance office staff locked themselves inside. No one came out to talk.

‘No facilities, No fees’ – Residents warn of boycott
Many residents have now decided to stop paying maintenance fees until conditions improve. The angry residents then raised slogans such as “Paisa denge toh suvidha chahiye!” (“If we pay, we need facilities!”) and “Radicon administration, wake up!”
We have tolerated enough. If the builder and maintenance agency don’t resolve the issues soon, we will stop paying altogether.
Priyanka Chouhan, Resident
Another resident alleged that the builder and maintenance agency are shifting blame onto each other while residents continue to suffer.
This is a clear violation of consumer rights.

Residents threaten legal action
Residents have warned that if the situation doesn’t improve within 15 days, they will approach the Noida Authority and the Consumer Forum. They are also considering collective legal action under the Group Housing Act against the maintenance agency for neglect and false promises.
Radicon Vedantam: A hub of unresolved complaints
This isn’t the first time the society has faced such issues. Complaints about lift malfunctions, tanker-based water supply, and lack of promised amenities have persisted for months. At the time of possession, the builder had promised 24×7 lift service, purified water, round-the-clock security, gym, and a clubhouse, but residents say none of these assurances were fulfilled.
‘A daily struggle for every age group‘
From children lacking clean play areas to elderly residents unable to climb stairs due to broken lifts, the situation has affected everyone.
We invested our life savings to buy homes here, but now it feels like a mistake.

Residents demand authority intervention
Residents have appealed to the Greater Noida Authority to take strict action against the builder and maintenance team. They’ve demanded that an inspection committee be formed to physically assess the ground reality of the society.
‘Restore services, Restore trust‘
The Radicon Vedantam case mirrors the growing discontent across multiple societies in Greater Noida West, where high maintenance fees fail to translate into actual services.
If the authorities continue to ignore us, such protests will soon become a common sight.
