
Noida: The Noida Authority will celebrate International Women’s Day 2026 with a week-long program titled “Naari Leads Swachhata” from 8 March to 14 March 2026. The initiative aims to recognise and encourage the role of women in building a cleaner and more responsible society. According to the announcement released by the authority, the campaign will focus on honouring women for their outstanding contribution to society and promoting awareness about sanitation, health, safety and financial independence.
Week-long activities planned
The program will begin on 8 March with an inaugural ceremony marking the start of the celebrations. During the week, several awareness and training sessions will be organised for women and sanitation workers.
On the second day, a SafaiMitra Suraksha health camp will be held for sanitation workers. This will be followed by digital literacy training for women self-help groups (SHGs) on the third day to help them improve their digital skills.
On day four, a financial literacy workshop will be organised to educate women about banking, savings and financial planning. The fifth day will feature occupational safety training for sanitation workers to promote safe working practices.
Community awareness and closing session
The sixth day of the program will focus on community awareness and engagement activities aimed at encouraging public participation in cleanliness drives.
The week-long celebration will conclude on 14 March with a knowledge sharing and closing session, where participants will discuss learnings from the program and highlight the role of women in strengthening cleanliness initiatives in the city.
Through the campaign, the Noida Authority aims to highlight women as leaders in promoting cleanliness and community development while empowering them with knowledge, training and recognition.
