Noida: Residents of Sector 74, 117, 118, 119, and 120 held a candle march in protest against the horticulture waste/dumping yard being built by the Noida Authority in Sector 117, Noida.
In protest against the dumping yard being built by the Noida Authority in the residential area of Sector-117, people from all the nearby societies together took out a symbolic candle march in which hundreds of people participated.
All the people living nearby are very worried about the authorities’ decision to build a dumping yard in the residential area. Thousands of families live within a radius of 500-700 meters of the place where the authority has proposed to build a dumping yard in Sector-117, in which lakhs of people reside.
Hundreds of people who came to the candle march said in one voice that the authority will not be allowed to play with the lives of lakhs of people here, no matter what happens, this dumping yard will not be allowed to be built here. Right now the candle march has been taken out only symbolically. If the authority does not shift it from here to somewhere else, no matter how big a movement we have to launch, we will not back out.
