Noida: To maintain peace and law and order in the district, prohibitory orders have been imposed till November 3 under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code on the commencement of the five-day series of major festivals of India.
During this period, there will be a complete ban on offering namaz, worship processions or all other types of religious events at public places, or roads without permission. Putting religious flags, banners, posters etc. on religious places, walls and such activities will be prohibited.
It is top priority to conduct festivals in a harmonious atmosphere
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, Hridesh Katheria has issued orders in this regard. The order said that it is top priority to conduct festivals peacefully and harmoniously. During this period, violation of the provisions under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code will be considered a punishable offence. During this period, five or more persons will not take out processions without permission.
Drone shooting will be completely prohibited within a radius of one km above and around government offices. Shooting or photography with any type of drone camera will not be allowed without the permission of the Police Commissioner and Additional Police Commissioner.
Ban on carrying weapons
The order states that no person will consume alcohol and intoxicants in public places during the curfew. Carrying sticks, sharp knives and pointed weapons such as swords, spears, daggers, axes and firearms will be prohibited within the limits of Gautam Buddha Nagar. There will also be a ban on celebratory firing at wedding ceremonies.
