Noida / Agra : After the attack on tourists by terrorists in Pahalgam, Kashmir, anger against Pakistan is being seen across the country. ‘Pakistani not allowed’ posters have been put up in some budget hotels in Tajganj area of Agra.
Agra hotels took strict decision
Some budget hotels located in Tajganj area of Agra have put up ‘Pakistani not allowed’ posters on their gates and receptions. Hotels like Hotel Siddharth and Lucky Guest House have made it clear that they will no longer give rooms to Pakistani citizens.
Hotel operators gave clarification
My hotel already did not give rooms to Pakistani tourists, but now I felt it necessary to display it publicly. The security of the country and the safety of tourists comes first.

Already cautious due to rules
However, Pakistani tourists come to Agra very rarely. According to the rules, if any foreign national is accommodated in a hotel, information about it has to be given to the police and Local Intelligence Unit (LIU) within 24 hours.
Hotels want to avoid paperwork hassles
This process is even more stringent for Pakistani citizens, because their visa contains complete details of the place of stay. In view of all these rules and sensitivity, many hotel operators already refuse to give rooms to Pakistani tourists. Now after an incident like Pahalgam, this attitude is becoming more strict.
